One new case of coronavirus confirmed in north Cyprus, reaches 70

One new case of coronavirus was confirmed in northern Cyprus on Tuesday bringing the total number there to 70. 

TRNC Minister of Health, Ali Pilli made the announcement on Tuesday.  

The case is from Gonyeli and was transmitted from a family member.

Out of the 85 tests carried out on Tuesday, one came out positive bringing the number of cases in the country to 70 with one death.

The condition of 3 patients in the intensive care unit is stable, and the other cases treated are in good condition.

Plli stated that 1262 tests have been done so far and 29 patients discharged.

German tourists, who have been in quarantine for 14 days, will be sent to their countries tomorrow at 02:00. 

262 cases, including nine at the British bases with 8 causalities has been confirmed so far in southern Cyprus which brings the total number of confirmed cases islandwide to 332 and 9 death.
