Student arrested for assaulting ex girlfriend in Kyrenia
A student in North Cyprus has been sent to prison for assaulting his ex-girlfriend.
The student identified as only as S.H.A was arrested on March, 10 and taken to a court in Lefkosa on charges of serious assault, intentional damage and use of violence against his ex girlfriend.
The incident reportedly happened on March, 7 at the Girne Strait Picnic Area while they were trying to sort out their relationship issue.
The accused reportedly hit the victim in the face and hit her with a mobile phone wire on the leg. He also broke her phone and threatened violence against her.
The matter came to the police attention on March, 9 which led to his arrest on March 10.
He was released on bail and will be tried in the future.
