One death and one positive case of coronavirus recorded in north Cyprus today

One death related to coronavirus and one positive case of the virus were recorded in north Cyprus on Monday, bring the total number of death there to 4 and confirmed cases to 100.

Speaking on the general situation of Covid-19 in the country on Monday, TRNC Minister of health, Ali Pilli said 1 confirmed case was recorded out of 181 tests carried out on Monday.

The positive case concern a person who works at the River Side Hotel and has been under surveillance.

The causality is a 54-year-old Turkish Cypriot patient who lived in the Alsancak Region and undergoing covid-19 treatment in intensive care unit at the Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Lefkosa. The patient who is diabetic has receiving treatment since March, 27.

So far, 4,393 tests has been carried out in the TRNC with 100 confirmed cases and 4 deaths. 

The Minister said 5 people were discharged.

-Number of patients in intensive care - 0
