South Cyprus to send drugs and protective wear to North Cyprus to combat coronavirus

South Cyprus will send some drugs and protective wear to North Cyprus following a request by TRNC president, Mustafa Akıncı.

Akıncı in a telephone conversation with Greek Cypriot leader Nicos Anastasiades on Saturday where they discussed developments concerning the spread of coronavirus on the island and requested for dispatch of medicines and protective wear.

The two leaders reaffirmed the importance of the continuity of the work of the Bi-Communal Health Technical Committee.

The material including 2,000 units of Chloroquine, which is used in the treatment of coronavirus, will be sent to North Cyprus this week.
