TRNC records first Turkish Cypriot death from coronavirus

North Cyprus has recorded it's third coronavirus related death, a Turkish Cypriot who died on Tuesday.

The causality is a 74-year-old Turkish Cypriot man. He died from complications caused by the coronavirus at about 4:30am on Tuesday raising the number of deaths in north Cyprus to three.

The man, identified as Ümit Tilki had an underlying health problems including hypertension, ischemic heart disease and diabetes.

He has been receiving treatment at the intensive case unit at the Lefkosa State Hospital and is the first Turkish Cypriot to die of the virus. 
 
The two other deaths concern German tourists. 

So far, the TRNC has recorded a total number of 92 cases of coronavirus with the numbers expected to increase later in the day.
