Man who was rescued from drowning at the sea off Alagadi dies in hospital

A 33-year-old man who was rescued at the sea at Alagadi has died in the intensive care unit.

Mehmet Karadeniz, was one of two people who were rescued from drowning in troubled waters on Thursday last week when they went swimming at the beach off Alagadi at around 6:20pm.

He and 22 year old Dahi Haphap were initially taken to Dr. Akçiçek Hospital in Kyrenia and later transferred to Lefkosa State Hospital and the to Kolan British Hospital.

Mehmet Karadeniz passed away on Saturday while Dahi Haphap survived the incident.
