TRNC to provide free PCR test and treatment to all incoming students from September,1 and students to be quarantined in university dormitories

All foreign students coming to the TRNC for the 2020/2021 Fall semester will be provided with free PCR test and will be kept under quarantine in the dormitories provided by the university starting from September, 1. 

This was made known by the TRNC Minister of Health, Alli Pilli on Friday during the protocol signing of the "Student Friendly Island Project". 

Pilli noted that the students are very important for the country in terms of both economic and promotion of the country and stated that they provided and will continue to provide all kinds of convenience to the students during their stay in TRNC.

Regarding the Covid-19 outbreak in TRNC, he stated that government officials, healthcare workers and the public have been complying with the rules, adding that the TRNC has passed the world health test in terms of health.

He stated that the TRNC is a reliable country stronger in health than in the past and will continue to take every precaution to protect public health.

He noted that students can easily come to TRNC, and said that they will continue to work to avoid damaging the image of the safe country.

He said the government will provide all kinds of health services to students studying in the TRNC and will not charge any fee when PCR is performed. 

“No student was caught virus” 
Noting that no student on the island has been caught with Covid-19 to date, Pilli said that if any student becomes ill, the best treatment will be given free of charge.

Pilli announced that students who will come to TRNC from September,1 will be given a single PCR at the airport and that the students will be kept under quarantine in the dormitories provided by the university until the PCR result is out free of charge.
