Man enters bank in south Cyprus holding a knife, walks away with 30,000 euros
Greek Cypriot police are searching for a man who robbed a Strovolos bank on Friday and got away on foot with thousands of euros.
According to police report, the incident happened at around noon when a man entered the Astrobank in Strovolos brandishing a knife and wearing a face-covering.
He made off with approximately €30,000.
Reports said the man spoke in Cypriot dialect. Police launched a search and found the found him in the Strovolos area just after 2:00pm with a bag of money.
