32 Syrian refugees found in Iskele

Thirty-two Syrians refugees were found residing illegally in The TRNC by Turkish Cypriot police teams on patrol between Avtepe-Kuruova villages.

According to media report, the refugees were found in the area at about 8:00pm on Wednesday.

They were arrested for arriving illegally in the country and conveyed by bus to Iskele.

Among the refugees were 16 men, seven women and nine children, the youngest being two years old.

The police are continuing their investigations.
