Students arrested for partying in Marmara, Lefkosa released without fine

13 African students who were arrested by Turkish Cypriot police after gathering for a birthday party in Marmara, Lefkosa on Monday have all been released without fine or prosecution. 

The students were busted at a residence on 10th Street in Marmara, Lefkosa at about 6:05pm on Monday.

They were first taken to the Lefkosa Police Directorate and then to the Pandemic Hospital for PCR testing. 

Following the PCR test, they were taken to the Lefkosa Police Department where they were investigated for "Violating a legal order, not obeying the decisions of the Contagious Diseases Supreme Committee and the curfew". 

They were detained till Tuesday after which they were released without fine.

Good they are all out and fine.
