Vaccinated students coming to north Cyprus in September will not be quarantined

TRNC Prime Minister, Ersan Saner has said face-to-face education will start in September and students coming from abroad will go into quarantine if they have not completed their double vaccination.

We have completed the vaccinations of all employees in the education and tourism sector, he said. Some teachers have not yet completed their vaccinations, I urge them to complete it as well.  

He continued;

Face-to-face education will begin in September. Nobody should try to justify the reason for not taking the vaccine. Everyone from universities to kindergartens will be vaccinated. Our young students can also get vaccinated.  

Criteria have been set for students coming from abroad. If the incoming student is not double-vaccinated, he will go into quarantine. But the vaccine may also come to the agenda and we can produce a policy on this issue.

He said there is no shortage of vaccination in the country, that 150 thousand citizens have been vaccinated with a double dose so far and that the third dose will be given.

Saner stated that vaccination will pave the way for the country's economy. 

Noting that face-to-face education will start in September, Saner called on the teachers who did not complete their vaccinations to complete their vaccinations.

On Monday, August, 2, TRNC president, Ersin Tatar following a meeting with the council of Ministers said, students will come and there will be face-to-face education.
