Strict inspections carried out across the TRNC

Over 820 vehicles were checked and 29 people banned from entering casino in inspection carried out by the police across the TRNC on Saturday night.

The inspections on public order and traffic offense were carried out within Lefkosa, Girne, Güzelyurt and İskele Police Departments between the hours of 10:00pm on Saturday, September, 11 and 2:00am on Sunday, September, 12, 

As a result of the inspections carried out in Lefkosa, controls were carried out in betting houses, nightclubs, bars and entertainment venues and coffee houses operating in the region, but no negativity was detected.

In inspections carried out in casinos, a total of 29 people were banned from entering or staying in casino and legal action was taken against them.

In inspections carried out by the traffic teams; 824 vehicles were checked and further action was taken against 317 vehicle drivers who were found to have committed crimes, while 1 vehicle was banned from traffic.

In inspections carried out in Kyrenia; Bars and entertainment venues operating in the region were checked. It was determined that 1 restaurant sold alcoholic beverages without a license, and legal action was taken against the operator. 

In inspections carried out in casinos, a total of 45 people who were banned from the casino and legal action was taken against them.

In inspections carried out by the traffic teams; 550 vehicles were checked and further action was taken against 155 vehicle drivers who were found to have committed crimes, 41 vehicles were banned from traffic due to various crimes and 2 vehicle drivers were arrested.

In inspections carried out in Güzelyurt; controls were carried out in betting houses, nightclubs, bars and entertainment venues and coffee houses operating in the region, but no negativity was detected. 

In inspections carried out by the traffic teams; 254 vehicles were checked and further action was taken against 44 vehicle drivers who were found to have committed crimes.

In inspections carried out in İskele; Bars and entertainment venues operating in the region were checked, but no negativity was detected. 

In inspections carried out in the casinos, a total of 9 people who were banned from the casino and legal action was taken against them. 

In inspections carried out by the traffic teams; 450 vehicles were checked and further action was taken against 67 vehicle drivers who were found to have committed crimes, while 4 vehicles were banned from traffic due to various crimes.
