TRNC government set to increase fuel prices again

Despite the stability and the recent gains of the Turkish Lira against foreign currencies, the prices of commodities in the TRNC is still on the high side and now the price of fuel products is about to increase instead of it to reduce.

According to reports emerging from local dailies on Wednesday, the increase in fuel prices is on the agenda of the Council of Ministers.

The Council of Ministers is expected to discuss an increase of 1 TL 54 Kurus for Kerosene, 95 Kurus for 95 Octane Unleaded Gasoline, 95 Kurus for 98 Octane Unleaded Gasoline and 1 TL 32 Kurus for Euro Diesel.

The Fuel Unit, which determined a figure for fuel prices once a week, submitted its proposal to the Council of Ministers.

The suggested new prices are as follows:
-95 Octane: 12.60 TL
-98 Octane: 12.84 TL
-Euro Diesel: 12.55 TL
-Kerosene: 12.67 TL

Fuel prices were last increased on December 15, 2021, and the price per liter were 

-95 Octane: 11.65 TL
-98 Octane: 11.89 TL
-Euro Diesel: 11.23 TL
-Kerosene: 11.13 TL
