Man who sexually abused two 5-year-old children in Girne battered by father of the girl

A man has been accused of sexually abusing two 5-year-old girls in Girne.

The man identified only as Cumali Ç., committed the evil act at around 4:00pm on Sunday, March, 20.

He was arrested and taken to court on Tuesday on charges of sexually abuse of minors.

Speaking in court, a police officer at the Girne Forensic Branch said the suspect who said he was taking the two 5-year-old girls to a park in Girne took them instead to the back of a primary school where he reportedly kissed the children on the neck, took off their sweatpants and tried to kiss their genitals.

The suspect then forced the children to kiss his manhood.

The police officer stated that, some children living in the same neighborhood saw the incident and reported the situation. The suspect was caught red-handed leading to his arrest.

Police said they have received 8 statements so far and that there are other statements to be taken. The police stated that the two girls would be checked by a doctor.

The suspect appeared in court with bruises on his face. Answering the prosecutor's question why the suspect has bruises on his face and eyes, police said the father of one of the girls battered the suspect following the incident and an investigation has been launched against the father. 

The suspect was ordered to remain in detention for 3 days for more investigation to be carried out on the matter.
