TRNC Government increases the price of fuel again

The government of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has again increased the price of fuel, just a week after a reduction was announced.

The price increase comes on a day when queues were seen in filling stations across the country due to a purported strike by marketers due to supply shortage.

The government, last week reduced the price of fuel twice to reflect the current market rate which has become unstable since the invasion of Ukraine by Russian army in February.

The new price which was announced on Tuesday evening and published in the Official Gazette, came into effect immediately.

The new prices per liter are as follows:
95 Octane Gasoline from 17.33 TL to 18.57 TL
98 Octane Gasoline from 17.58 TL
to 18.82 TL
Euro Diesel from 18.07 to 20.88
Kerosene from 17.02 TL to 20.12 TL
