Three more people arrested in gang fight between Nigerians in Famagusta

Three more people were arrested for involving in a gang fight in Famagusta on Sunday evening that left two people seriously injured.

The gang fight between two groups who are all Nigerians in which four people were injured, happened in Famagusta on Sunday evening. Two among them were seriously injured and currently receiving treatment at the hospital.

The three men were arrested for "attempted murder, serious injury, illegal carrying of knives and illegal drug possession."

According to the police statement, D.A, 27, A.J.E, 28, C.C.A, 31 and D.K.A, 28 were injured in various parts of their bodies.

A.J.E, 28 and C.C.A, 3 who were slightly injured in the incident, were discharged after their treatment at Famagusta State Hospital.

D.K.A who was seriously injured in the incident, is in the surgical service of Famagusta State Hospital, and D.A is in Lefkosa, where he was transferred to and was observed in the intensive care unit of Burhan NalbantoÄŸlu State Hospital.

During the further investigation, S.P.E.A, 29, C.C.O, 27 and M.C.E, 36, who were considered as suspects in the matter, were identified and arrested from their residence in Girne.

A substance believed to be a cannabis type drug weighing about 0.5 grams was found and taken as a evidence.
