Cost of living for September in TRNC increased by 3.08 percent

The TRNC Statistical Institute has announced the cost of living for the month of September as 3.08 percent.

According to the data published on the website of the Statistics Institute, cost of living went up by 3.08 percent in September, 75.64 percent in the last 9 month and an annual inflation of 120.32 percent.

In terms of main expenditure groups, the highest increase compared to the previous month was realized in the main group of education with 40.17 percent.

4.70 percent in the main group of Restaurants and Hotels, 4.11 percent in the main group of Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages, 3.25 percent in the main group of Clothing and Shoes, 2.33 percent in the main group of Health, 2.17 percent in the main group of Miscellaneous Goods and Services, Furniture, Home Appliances and Home Care Services main group 2.12 percent, 1.60 percent in Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco main group, 0.33 percent increase in Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels main group, 2.81 percent in Entertainment and Culture main group, 1.62 percent in Transportation main group, 0.87 percent decrease in Communication main group. .

There was an increase in the average prices of 485 items included in the index, and a decrease in the average prices of 100 items.

The highest price increases were the 233.33 percent theater ticket fee, 143.64 percent private tutoring fee (university preparation) and 129.93 percent study fee (pre-primary education and primary education); The first three goods with the highest price decrease are; 40.00 percent lottery tickets (TC), 32.69 percent lemon and 32.30 percent were in rocket.
