Public transport can not continue due to the increase in the price of disel

The president of the Cyprus Turkish Contemporary Public Vehicles Operators Association (Kar-İş) has said the transportation sector in the country has come to an end after the increase of more than 4 TL in the price of diesel fuel in the last week.

Fuat Topaloğlu, in a statement on Monday said; "It is impossible to transport under these conditions. We want discounted duty-free diesel, we have no strength to endure."

Topaloğlu stated that it is impossible to do transportation after the price hikes, and that public transporters are constantly losing money and that they are now at the point of closure.

Arguing that the government is coveting the pockets of the transporters, Topaloğlu stated that there is nothing left in the pockets of the transporters, and demanded discounted and duty-free diesel.

Stating that there was no response to the price regulation requests made by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministries of Public Works and Transport, Topaloğlu reiterated that it is impossible to work under these conditions.
