FA Cup third round draw: Man City host Chelsea; Man Utd face Everton

Chelsea were drawn away to Manchester City in the FA Cup third round on Wednesday, while Manchester United face Everton.

Manchester City knocked Chelsea out of the Carabao Cup third round in November and will meet again at the Etihad Stadium in early January.

Elsewhere, Premier League leaders Arsenal were drawn against League One side Oxford United, holders Liverpool will face Wolves while third-tier promotion hopefuls Portsmouth get a trip to Tottenham.

The third round will take place between Jan. 6-9, with the final due to be held at Wembley Stadium on June 3.

National League leaders Wrexham were given a Championship away day at Coventry City, while the other non-League sides in the draw - Boreham Wood and Chesterfield - will face home ties against Accrington Stanley and West Brom respectively.

Dagenham and Redbridge - the other team in the fifth tier of English football - will get a home draw against Premier League side Leicester City if they overcome their second-round replay against League Two Gillingham.

As well as Manchester United vs Everton and Liverpool vs Wolves, there were other all-Premier League ties in the form of Brentford hosting West Ham and Crystal Palace taking on Southampton.

Meanwhile, League Two side Stevenage, second in that division, get a top-flight day out at Unai Emery's Aston Villa.

The matches will be played across the first full weekend in January, from Friday 6 to Monday 9.
