Leader of an organization caught in TRNC” in a Coordinated Turkish police” raid in Girne

The leader of an organization called the “Deveciler” which operates in in Kyrenia, north Cyprus and Adana, Turkey was caught in an operation carried out under the coordination the Turkish General Directorate of Security in Kyrenia.

 

Under the coordination of the KOM (Combating Smuggling and Organized Crime) Presidency affiliated to the General Directorate of Security of the Republic of Turkey; A simultaneous operation was carried out in Girne and Adana by the "Special Investigation Branch and Special Operations Directorate" teams affiliated to the TRNC Police General Directorate.

According to police statement, 3 people in Girne and 37 people in Adana were arrested as a result of the operation that took place at around 05.30 this morning.

It was also stated that as a result of the operation, 4 long-barreled firearms and 33 pistols were seized.

In the operation that took place in Girne, three people who were arrested were 56-year-old C.İ. believed to be the leader of the criminal gang and other members including 49-year-old E.İ. and 24-year-old T.O.I. 

Four long-barrelled firearms and 33 pistols were seized during the operation.

Reports say that 46 people are alleged to be part of the criminal organisation which was involved in the murder of five people.

In the statement, it was stated that there was an arrest warrant in the Republic of Turkey against the three people in question for the crimes of "Murder, Establishing or Managing an Organization and Intentionally Injuring".

On the other hand, within the scope of the operation in Adana, 37 members of the organization were arrested by the teams of the Republic of Turkey, Adana Provincial Security Directorate; It was stated that 4 long-barreled firearms and 33 pistols were seized.

According to the news of DHA, C.İ., who is claimed to be the leader of the organization. and his son Y.I. 40 suspects were detained, including; organization leader C.İ., his close guards in TRNC, T.İ. and E.I. caught with.

His son, Y.I. He was detained at the residence in Istanbul.
