Cyprus to come under ‘Barbara’ severe weather front as from Wednesday

Cyprus will come under the spell of Greece’s severe weather front dubbed ‘Barbara’ as from Wednesday with low temperatures, frost and heavy snowfall in Troodos mountain.

The Cyprus Met office said temperature is expected to fall by 7 degrees below normal levels. But the phenomena won’t be as intense as in Greece.

Temperatures will rise slightly but steadily as of Friday.

‘Barbara’ snow-blanketed Athens and other parts of Greece as of Sunday with traffic having been banned in several main roads.
