Three drivers arrested, 23 vehicles were banned from traffic in TRNC

Police said 23 vehicles were banned from traffic and 3 drivers were arrested during traffic inspections carried out by the police across the country, on Friday night.

According to a statement made by the Police Press Officer, 1358 vehicle drivers were checked during the inspections; 210 vehicle drivers were reported for traffic offenses.

Some of the reported drivers' traffic offenses were explained as follows:

“2 of them are driving without a driving license, 17 of them are driving under the influence of alcohol, 46 of them are driving faster than the legal limit, 28 of them are using a mobile phone while driving”
