Dust warning issued by Met office, temperatures to 33 degrees on Tuesday

There will be dust particles in the air from midnight tonight, the Met Office has warned as temperatures are set to reach June level in the next few days as a high pressure system expected to affect the island.

Dust blown from across North Africa will create air pollution in the region from Monday midnight and will remain dusty until Wednesday midnight. The Met Office has advised anyone sensitive to dust particles to take precautions.

Temperatures rose to 31 degrees on Monday and will be around 33 degrees on Tuesday.

According to the Cyprus Met Service, temperatures will remain much higher than the seasonal average.

The weather on Monday will be fine and hot with high cloud.

The outlook remains fine and hot on Tuesday but there might bring light showers locally on Wednesday, with isolated showers on Thursday in certain areas.

Temperatures will persist at much higher than the seasonal average levels, with the end of the week seeing a sudden, steep drop near late April predictions.Dust warning issued by Met office, temperatures to 33 degrees on Tuesday
