Three people arrested for living illegally in North Cyprus

Three people were arrested in in a house in Lapta for living illegally in the TRNC while 77 grams of drugs was seized in Famaguta.

The Narcotics and Smuggling Prevention Directorate carried out a drug search operation in Famagusta and Lapta on Friday night leading to the arrest of 3 people for living illegally in the TRNC ans the seizure of a totla of 77 grams of drugs. 

Police said they found about 72 grams of a jute-type narcotic substance during a search carried out in the house of a22-year-old TIA.

A sensitive balance believed to contain drug residues were found and taken as an evidence.

The person in question was arrested and investigation launched into the incident.

In a related development, about 5 grams of cannabis type narcotic drug was found in the house of 36-year-old PS in Lapta.

The suspect in the case, 36-year-old PS, and another suspect named only AOB, 29 who were found to be related to the incident, were arrested. 

Also, police said they found three people, KCM, 30, MK, 29 and MS, 29 in a house that was searched for drug and they were found to be living there illegally. 

They were arrested.
