Two people caught trying to turn off a power plant in Kalecik

Turkish Cypriot police said it has arrested two Turkish Cypriot men for allegedly trying to turn off the fuel valve of a power plant in Kalecik.

Police in a report on Friday, said two men identified only as MN, 38 and MK, 36, entered the Aksa Power Plant operating in Kalecik at around 11.30pm on Thursday.

Police, said two men were caught red handed when they tried to disable the Aksa Power Plant by closing the fuel valve going to the generator.

The suspects who were accused of closing the fuel valve to Aksa's generator and having an unauthorized access to the property in order to disable the power plant, were identified by the security guards.

They were and investigation launched into the incident.
