Unexploded bomb causes panic in Lefkosa

Unexploded military ammunition was found during excavations carried out in a vacant land in Yenikent, Lefkosa early Friday morning.

The presence of the bomb caused panic among residents.

Police immediately took extensive security measures in the area while bomb disposal teams came to the scene and detonated the bomb in a controlled manner. 

The police investigation into the incident continues.
