28 people fined in Güzelyurt for working illegally in TRNC

Police said 28 people were found to be working illegally during police inspection carried out in Güzelyurt on Friday and two others arrested for living illegally in the TRNC without a resident permit.

The arrests were made during the controls carried out by the teams of the Güzelyurt Police Department and the personnel of the Labor Department in Güzelyurt after it was determined that 28 people were without a work permit.

According to the police bulletin, the people in question were fined by the Labor Department.

In addition, 2 people who were found to be residing without a residence permit were arrested during the inspections. 

In another development, legal actions was carried out against 6 businesses that did not comply with closing hours in Kyrenia.

Police said during the inspections carried out by the police at the entertainment venues in, Kyrenia, it was determined that 6 businesses did not comply with the closing hours.

In the inspections carried out by the Güzelyurt Police Department in Yayla, it was determined that a business did not have a valid alcohol sales license, but kept and offered alcohol for sale.  

Legal action has been initiated against the company in question. 

Also, Süha Enes Öztürk, 23 who was driving under the influence of alcohol lost control of his vehicle at around 3:30am on Saturday in Girne and crashed into an advertising sign on the middle of the road. 

No one was injured in the accident. The driver of the vehicle was arrested.
