Police warns of fake money in circulation
The warning was made by the police on Thursday stating that two people were arrested for buying goods with counterfeit Turkish Lira.
Police said they the counterfeit notes in question are 50 and 100 TL banknotes.
Police said the suspects named only as EI, 23 and Ö.F.Ç. on Tuesday, May 2, gave 250 TL to a business place for liquor and gasoline.
The obtained serial number of the counterfeit notes are; 50 Turkish Liras (A 625 255 060) and 100 Turkish Lir (A 352 712 566).
