South Cyprus customs seizes two parcels containing fake documents to be sent to Nigeria and Turkiye

The Cyprus (south) customs office on Thursday said it had intercepted and seized two parcels with fake drivers licences and a fake passport.

According to report, after inspecting a parcel at Larnaca airport about to be sent to Nigeria, hair extensions, clothes, dry food and eight drivers’ licenses, seven of which were issued in Poland and one in Czechia were found in the parcel.

In another incident, another parcel to be sent to a Turkish address declared the item contained a book but instead had a notebook with Arabic written and within, an envelope with a Romanian passport and two Greek driver licenses were found.

The parcel was to be sent to a third country national.

Investigations are ongoing.
