Three people arrested in Girne for causing the death of their friend released after they were found not responsible

The three men who were arrested and detained on Monday for allegedly causing the death of their friend were released on Tuesday after it was discovered that he died of heart attack. 

The unfortunate incident happened at around 7:00pm on Monday, May, 22 in Kyrenia when Emin Orucov, 27, suddenly fell ill and called for help but fell on the stairs while he was been taken down.

RA, 21, BK, 30 and JM, 27 who stay in the same apartment with the deceased were trying to help him down the stairs when he fell and hit his head on the stairs and was seriously injured.

Orucov was taken to the Girne hospital but could not be saved.

RA, 21, BK, 30 and JM were arrested after the incident.

They were released on Tuesday after it was determined that they were not responsible for Orucov's death.

Police in a statement said an autopsy carried out on Oruvoc's body revealed that he died as a result of "old and recent heart attack", and blood and tissue samples were taken for further examination.
