Conman steals woman's ATM card, withdraw 5,000TL on first date

A man has been arrested for stealing a bank card from a woman he met on Facebook and then used it to withdraw cash from an ATM.

The suspect, Mustafa E. met the victim, a woman he had connected with on Facebook on July, 7 in Alsancak.

He took her bank card and used it to withdraw 5,000 TL from an ATM in Alsancak.

Police arrested him after the woman reported her card stolen.

Police stated that the suspect made a statement regarding the issue and that these statements will be investigated.

The court ordered that the suspect be kept in custody at the police station for three days, to enable the police to continue their investigations into the theft.
