Seven Kazakhstan nationals banned from entering the TRNC, e-visa to be implemented soon

The TRNC Ministry of Interior has announced that 7 Kazakhstan nationals wanted by Interpol with a red notice has been banned from entering the country.

A statement made by the Ministry last week states that, “In line with the security reports of the General Directorate of Police dated July 5, in order to protect the country's security and public peace, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, have prohibit the entry into the TRNC of 7 Kazakhstani nationals who were found to be involved in organized crime; document forgery, abuse of office, founding an illegal organization, buying goods under threat and many more in Russia and Kazakhstan. 

Interior Minister Ziya Öztürkler said, "We are working to prevent people who are connected with organized crime organizations and involved in crime in their own countries, which we have focused on sensitively from the first day and determined as our basic vision, before they enter the TRNC."

"All our efforts are to increase the peace of our people and the security of the country," the minister said adding that within this framework, the e-visa application will be implemented in a short time.

Noting that they will implement important projects for the country with the immigration systems, the reports of the Police Department and the support of Turkey, Öztürkler said, “Strict control at the entrances to the country is our priority.

  1. This is a fantastic step towards recognition and synchronising with the international community. It would be ideal if the TRNC authorities acknowledged the child human rights issue arising from parents who abduct children to the TRNC to avoid court orders and justice in foreign jurisdictions. The women that are involved with these awful crime are a syndicate, most of them have INTERPOL Red Notices hanging around their necks.
