A 29-year old British citizen who was attacked  by bouncers outside a night club in Iskele, North Cyprus has died in the hospital. British citizen killed by bouncers at a club in Iskele, north Cyprus

The unfortunate incident happened in front of a club in Iskele in the early hours of Thursday morning when, Hüseyin Mavideniz, 29 was attacked by bouncers outside the club following an argument. 

Mavideniz was punched in the head several times and fell to the ground. After falling, one of the guards stamped on his head which caused Mavideniz to sustain a brain haemorrhage leading to his death.

He was rushed to the Famagusta State hospital where he was confirmed dead.

A total of 13 people were arrested in connection with the incident.

Four of them were arrested in connection with the incident and appeared in court on charges of brutal murder.

The guards justified their attack by saying that Mavideniz was causing a disturbance outside the club.

Mavideniz visited the TRNC 15 days ago from London to see his father who was being treated in a hospital.

The court ordered that the four suspects be detained in custody for three days, pending further enquiries.
