Four university students caught with jute and cocaine in Gönyeli

Four university students, 3 Jordanian suspects and Syrian suspect were caught with 200 grams of jute and one gram of cocaine in Gönyeli.  

The four suspects were arrested on Monday, September, 11 in Gonyeli and taken to court on Tuesday on charges of dug possession.

Police officer who testified in court said they received information one of the suspects had drugs in his possession. 

A search carried out at the suspect's home led to the discover of 200 grams of jute type drugs, one gram of cocaine, and a black electronic scale believed to have drug residue on it. Also, 20 TL, which was believed to have drug residue on it, and a total of 8,300 TL, which was determined to be obtained from drug sales, were found and taken as evidence. 

Three other suspects, who were in the same house with the suspect who tried to prevent the police from conducting a search were arrested with force.

Two of the suspects stay in the same house and the other two lives elsewhere.

Police said they found nothing illegal in a search carried out at the apartment of the other two suspects.

Police stated that during investigation, they determined that the three suspects went to Famagusta, bought 224 grams of jute and one gram of cocaine, drank some of it together, and that the other suspect, sold 20 grams of the drug to a person for 9,000TL.

Stating that the two suspects admitted their guilt, the police stated that there were wanted persons, missing evidence and statements that needed to be taken, and requested that the suspects be detained for 3 days.
