Family of three arrested in connection with the death of a young man in Lefkosa

Three people have been arrested by Turkish Cypriot police over the death of a young man whose body was found in an apartment car park in Lefkosa on Tuesday.

Muhammed Bedi Avci, 23 was found dead in the car park of his apartment building located in Küçükkaymaklı, Lefkosa at around 8:30am on Tuesday, Sept. 19.

A postmortem on the body determined that the cause of death was “falling from a height, internal organ injuries, bilateral hemopneumothorax and internal bleeding“.

He is reported to have fallen from the 3rd floor of the apartment.

Three people, his father, AA aged 54, mother HA aged 48 and brother, HSA aged 17 were arrested in connection with his death.

The police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding Avci’s death.
