TRNC changes pharmacy opening hours

The new opening hours for pharmacies came into effect on Monday after being published in the Official Gazette.

The winter opening hours of pharmacies which will be in effect until May 12, 2024 will be from 8:00am to 5:30pm on weekdays and 8am and 1:30pm on Saturdays.

Pharmacies switched to winter opening hours as of Monday, Accordingly, pharmacies in Lefkoşa, Gazimağusa, Girne, Güzelyurt, Lefke, Mesarya, Karpaz, and İskele will be open from 8:00am to 5:30pm on weekdays and 8am and 1:30pm on Saturdays,

during the winter season (until May 12, 2024).

According to the Pharmacists Association, for the exception of Thursdays during the summer season, all opening hours of on-duty pharmacies will remain the same throughout the year.

Pharmacies will be closed on Thursday afternoons after 1pm throughout the summer.

On-duty or night pharmacies in Lefkoşa, Gazimağusa, Girne, and Güzelyurt will be open until midnight throughout the year.

While on duty pharmacies on duty in Lefke will be open on weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and on public holidays until 10pm between September 18, 2023, and May 12, 2024, these pharmacies will operate on an on-call system until midnight.

In İskele on-call pharmacies will remain open until 10pm on weekdays, weekends and public holidays throughout the year.

Pharmacies on duty in the Mesarya region will provide service until 7pm on weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays throughout the year.

In the Karpaz region, on-duty pharmacies will remain open until 6pm.
