Two people arrested for stealing a cat in Kyrenia

Two people were arrested and detained for stealing a cat from a house in Kyrenia.

The suspects identified as HK, 22 and BA, 21 reportedly stole the cat named Bob from the garden of a house in Karaoğlanoğlu Street in Girne on the midnight of August, 31.

They were identified and arrested in Girne on Monday following a complaint by the owner. 

They were taken to court on charges of "theft and trespassing of property".

During the police investigation, it was determined that the cat was stolen by the suspects.

Police investigation into the theft continues.

The cat owner share a message on social media saying;

“We have been looking for him in the morning and evening for exactly 5 days. Even people I never knew helped me so much with me. For the first time in a long time in my life, I felt that we were one heart. I can't thank enough to all my friends who helped, my friends, my brothers, my sisters, my family, and everyone I know and don't know. We came together and made our voices heard. My face is smiling after days. This time I'm crying with happiness. My biggest thank you is Murat Bayram, I cannot thank him enough.”
