Kıb-Tek makes U-turn, reduces the 31 percent electricity tariff increase to 15 percent

The Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (Kıb-Tek) has made a U-turn by announcing a reduction of 15 percent from the initial 21 percent increase in electricity tariffs announced earlier today. 

Kıb-Tek announced that the increase in both single-time and 3-time tariffs was re-arranged and the increase of approximately 31 percent was reduced to 15 percent.

It was also announced that the summer tariff period in the triple tariff application has ended today, Oct., 30 and the new triple winter tariff will come into force as of tomorrow.

Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority shared with the public the new tariffs that will be valid from tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov., 1.
