Partial lunar eclipse will be visible in Cyprus on October 28

A partial lunar eclipse, which will also be visible in Cyprus, will occur on Saturday 28 October.

Cyprus astrophysicist Chrysanthos Fakas from the Observatory of the Fakas Tutoring Centre in Cyprus said in a statement, the entry into the Earth’s shadow will start at 21:34 and end at 22:53, while the maximum of the eclipse will be at 22:14. The phenomenon will last 1 hour and 29 minutes.

This eclipse will cover a small part of the Moon’s disk but will be visible from all parts of Cyprus, with the naked eye, from the European continent, Asia, and Africa.

It is noted in the announcement that a celestial body eclipse occurs when a third body interposes between two other bodies, resulting in the two bodies not making eye contact.
