64 grams of cannabis, of thousands of TL found during traffic inspection in Kyrenia

Turkish Cypriot police said it found 62 grams of jute and thousands of Turkish Lira in a vehicle during traffic search in Kyrenia leading to the arrest of 6 people.

Police said they were carrying out traffic control on İslambey Street in Kyrenia on Monday morning when they stopped a vehicle after noticing the vehicle's suspicious movement.

Police said they first found 2 grams of jute in the car. They also found 62 grams of jute and thousands of Turkish Lira in a further search carried out on the car.

The money found were; 69,040 TL, 2711 Dollars, 1190 Pounds Sterling and 20 Euros and believed to be obtained from drug sales.

The drive of the vehicle, MFM, 25 along with two other people, AD, 24 and MD, 25 who were passengers in the vehicle were arrested. 

Police said in further investigation into the incident, a search was carried out at the residence of TSA, 31, CCA, 22 and OAA, 29, after they were found to be connected to the incident.
