Four people caught with drugs in Kyreina

At least four individuals were identified and arrested by Turkish Cypriot police for illegal drug possession following a raid on an apartment in Kyrenia.

The raid by a team of Narcotics and Smuggling Prevention Directorate tagged "Locksmith Operation" was carried out at an apartment building in Kyrenia at around 7:00pm on Saturday.

Police said a total of 775 grams of jute which were made into packages ready for sale were found with the suspects named only as AZ, 28, DSA, 30, ND, 26 and ME, 23.

A total of 111 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine and 4 sensitive scales were also found and taken as evidence. 

They were all arrested and police investigation launched into the incident.
