Ugandan student dies after falling from apartment building in Famagusta

A 27-year-old Ugandan student who fell from the balcony of her apartment building in Famgusta on Wednesday morning has died. 

The unfortunate incident happened at around 8:00am on Wednesday morning in a student dormitory in Famagusta. 

Police in a report said the deceased, Marvin Mwesıgwa Aine, a Ugandan national fell from a height of around 18.5 meters to the ground from an apartment balcony.

Police stated that the student was visiting a friend and was at the friend's apartment balcony when he lost his balance and fell.

Police said the lifeless body was examined and taken to the Famagusta State Hospital for autopsy.

The police investigation into the incident continues. 

Aine is a Chemistry student and was successful in his classes. His death devastated his friends, family and his university.
