Supermarket thief found to be living illegally in north Cyprus

A foreign national who reportedly stole from a market operating in Famagusta was found to be living illegally in north Cyprus.

The suspect named only as P.M.U, 33 was found to have stolen spice powder and paper towels from a market operating in Famagusta on Saturday, Dec., 16.

He was identified and arrested following a complaint.

Police said the suspect went to the market as a customer when he took the items without paying for them. 

Police investigation revealed that the suspect was living in north Cyprus without a resident permit.
