Thief broke into apartment in Kyrenia, stole money and assaulted the landlord

Man who broke into an apartment to steal in Kyrenia also assaulted the landlord of the apartment who tried to stop him.

The incident happened in Kyrenia at around 10:00pm on Monday, Jan, 1 when the suspect named only as S.P, 24 broke into an apartment by damaging the apartment window shutter.

The suspect reportedly stole a total of 900 TL and 40 Euro from a wallet he found in a bag inside the residence. 

He then beat the landlord of the apartment who tried to stop him before fleeing the scene through the window.

He was arrested by the police following a complaint.
