Three students violates military forbidden zone in north Cyprus, appear in military court

Three students who reportedly violated a military forbidden zone after having an accident in Lefkosia, were arrested and brought to a Military Court. Three students violates military forbidden zone in north Cyprus, taken to military court.

The individuals, TPN, 22, female, and MM, 28, female all Rwandan nationals, at around 4:30am on Saturday, January, 20 were in a vehicle driven by an unidentified male individual on Kaymaklı Yolu street in Lefkosia when the car hit the entrance gate of a 1st Degree military restricted zone, causing the gate to open without damaging it.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene of the incident. 

The suspects TPN and MM who were passengers in the vehicle were caught and arrested by the military.

The driver of the vehicle, VH, 30, male, a Rwandan national was later arrested by the police.

They were taken to a Military Court in Lefkosia on Sunday for violating a military forbidden zone.

Police told the court that investigation revealed the identity of the person driving the vehicle as VH, who was identified and arrested in Lefkosia.

Police stated that the investigation was continuing and that camera records in both the areas where the accident occurred and the violated military zone would be obtained and examined, and requested that the suspects be detained for 3 days for investigation purposes.
