Prince Harry’s legal team has revealed that Rupert Murdoch’s British tabloids and his landline phones were bugged to access his late mother Princess Diana’s page messages.

This was presented as part of a lawsuit against News Group Newspapers in London’s High Court. The lawsuit, filed by Harry and over 40 others, accuses News Group Newspapers (NGN) of illicit activities by journalists and investigators on tabloids like the Sun and the now-defunct News of the World. The alleged activities took place from the mid-1990s to 2016.

Harry has been actively opposing the British press since relinquishing his royal duties in 2020. He has accused them of spreading falsehoods about him and his family and invading his privacy.

Recently, he won a lawsuit against Mirror Group Newspapers over similar claims. The court acknowledged the involvement of senior figures in unlawful activities.
