Switzerland advises against drinking high boron levels Beypazarı mineral water

Switzerland has advised against drinking Beypazarı mineral water because it contains high levels of Boron.

The Swiss Federal Office of Food Safety and Veterinary Affairs said that this mineral water could be harmful to infants and could affect fertility in women.

The Department of Primary Health Services has warned companies about selling this water.

They have asked if any Beypazarı mineral water was imported on December 14, 2023.

The deadline for companies to reply is today.

It is not known if the water is still on shelves or if anyone will check.

Beypazarı also made a statement.

They said that Swiss tests found twice as much boron in their water as there should be, which is really hazardous to health. They added however, that they don’t understand how the Swiss came to that conclusion.

According to DuvarR Gazette, in a written statement issued by the company, it said that some social media channels, based on a news sourced from Switzerland, ‘unfair’ and ‘unreal’, disinformation publications were made about the “Beypazarı Natural Mineral Water” brand, and that the amount of boron in the product is high and harmful to health.

“By exporting to more than 30 countries, it has received Turkish, European and world quality awards, and has ISO 22000; ISO 9001; ISO 14001; ISO 45001; FSSC 22000 and ESMA quality certificates.”

“We are a brand that has a respected place in the sector. Our company constantly monitors the quality of its products meticulously, and our products are inspected and analysed regularly by the Ministry of Health“.
