Four students stole goods worth over 60,000 TL from a super market in north Cyprus

Four men who were arrested for stealing food and cosmetic products worth over 60,000 TL from a supermarket operating in Demirhan were identified as students.

The suspects, SS, AAJ, RH, AAR, and AH who are all Arab students in north Cyprus were accused of stealing food and cosmetic products worth 64,500 TL from a Supermarket operating in Demirhan.

They were arrested and taken to the Lefkosia District Court on Tuesday May 14.

Police said the suspects stole various brands offered for sale in the Supermarket, where they entered as customers twice at different times on May 3, 2024.

The police said that the complaint about the incident was made on May 7, 2024, and within the scope of the investigation, the security cameras of the market were examined and the suspects were identified.

Police said the suspects were arrested in Lefkosia on May 13, and some of the stolen products were found during the search of the house where they were staying. 

Police noted that the investigation is continuing as most of the stolen products have not yet been found and requested that the suspects be detained for 3 days.
