The Nigerian football star who moved from Lefke to become Bundesliga champions

Nigerian center forward Victor Boniface, who played for Lefke for a while, won the championship with Leverkusen, which made history in the Bundesliga.

Boniface, made a name for himself with the goals he scored this season to become one of the important names of the championship.

Victor Boniface was transferred to Lefke during the second half of the 2017-18 season. According to the records of the Turkish Cypriot Football Federation, the player, who signed for Lefke on January 20, 2018, played three matches with the violet-whites, one in the cup and two in the league, and scored 2 goals in the league and 1 goal in the cup. The player, who left Lefke after three matches, was transferred to Real Sapphire, a Nigerian football club based in Lagos.

After playing there for a year, Boniface was transferred to Norway's Bodo/Glimt team and stayed for 3 years. He was transferred to Belgium's Union SG team in the 2022 summer transfer period.

Boniface went to Leverkusen in the summer of 2023 where he made history scoring the goals that won the championship for the club.

Boniface, who has now scored 11 goals in 19 matches in the Bundesliga, also reached the semi-finals of the Europa League and the final of the German Cup with his team.

It is not known whether Leverkusen and Boniface will complete the season with three trophies, but the player, who passed from Lefke for a while, is currently among the favorite players in Europe.
