TRNC government raises drivers license fees

The TRNC Council of Ministers on Sunday approved the "Re-determination (Amendment) Regulation of the Fees to be Paid for Motor Vehicle Registration and License Fees and Driving Licenses and published it in the Official Gazette.

With the authority granted by Article 4A of the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Law, the Council of Ministers has redetermined the registration and license fees for motor vehicles according to vehicle types and weights. The fees to be paid for motor vehicle dealer license, motor vehicle inspection certificate, and international exit fees for motor vehicles have also been increased.

Driving license fees

According to the regulation, 1,435 TL for the student driving license exam; 1,434.90 TL for a learner's license; While it is 1,970 TL for the motor vehicle driving test, the fees according to the duration of the licenses are as follows:

“Two years: 1,434.80 TL; 1,914.70 TL for three years; 2 thousand 939.50 TL for five years; 4 thousand 879 TL for ten years.”

The fee to be paid for a one-year license issued with a restriction due to age increased to 959.90 TL, while the temporary driving license is 1,434.90 TL; The fee to be paid for a copy of a lost, damaged, worn out or replaced driving license or student license is 700 TL.
